Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Cream together white and brown sugars, butter or margarine, eggs, baking soda, salt, and vanilla. Spoon in flour and mix well. Mix in 1 cup chopped pecans.
  3. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Let cookies cool, then place filling on one cookie and put together like a sandwich.
  4. To Make Filling: Mix together cream cheese, confectioner's sugar and 1 cup chopped pecans (optional). Spread on cooled cookies.

These cookies did not need the cream cheese frosting at all - in fact, I thought it detracted from how good these cookies were. If this recipe were for the cookies alone, I would have given it 5...

DELICIOUS!!! I made these as a desert for some company we had over the weekend and they loved them! THe kids loved them, their kids loved them, I got exactly 24 cookies just like the yield sugg...

I love cream cheese so I decided to make these. The taste at first is odd but you get used to it and they actually are quite delicious. My family ate them all in one day!
