Directions

  1. In medium bowl, combine oats, sugar, butter, and honey. Microwave on high for 4 1/2 - 5 1/2 minutes or until bubbly, stirring twice.
  2. Spread honey mixture in an 8 x 8 inch pan. Cool in refrigerator.
  3. In small bowl, combine chocolate chips and peanut butter. Microwave on high for 1 - 1 1/2 minutes or until chips are soft, stirring once. Spread over cookie mixture. Refrigerate until chocolate is firm. Cut into squares.

Great to make for an instant craving for something sweet. I tossed in some shredded coconut to the hot oat mixture and topped it with white chocolate chips mixed with the peanut butter instead ...

Recipe was indeed VERY quick and easy. However I found them to be a bit too sweet (this is saying a lot! I've got a terrible sweet tooth, didn't think there was such a thing as "too sweet".) ...

Thought these were a little too sweet. They were too hard if stored in the fridge and too soft if stored on the counter.
