Directions

  1. Cream butter, sugar and gelatin. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well. Gradually add flour and baking powder. Blend until smooth.
  2. Refrigerate dough until firm. (If using a cookie press, no need to refrigerate dough before use.) Roll into balls and press with bottom of glass with sugar. (Use an ungreased cookie sheet). Bake at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C) for 7-10 minutes.
  3. All done! Now take a photo, rate it, and share your accomplishments!

I made these last year for Christmas and had no problems making them in my new cookie press. It was my first time ever making spritz cookies. I came back this year looking for this recipe to make them again. I made green lime Christmas trees and yellow lemon stars. I also sprinkled on colored sugar before baking them. I was hesitant at making these, but I am glad I did. Yum!

I thought these were great! The only change I made is that I used almost all of the 6 oz pack of strawberry gelatin (thats what I had) - it hade for a great strawberry flavor! They worked great in my pampered chef cookie press!

This is a GREAT recipe! I made this with my cookie press using the heart shape & strawberry jello for a Valentine Banquet. They turned out great. They look & tasted wonderful! I also sprinked them with red sugar before baking. It made a ton too. Try it you won't be dissapointed. I used margarine not butter.
