Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Prepare cake-like brownies as directed on package, except omit nuts.
  3. Beat egg whites until frothy. Gradually beat in sugar, beating until stiff and glossy. Fold in vanilla and nuts. Spread over brownie batter.
  4. Bake 40 to 45 minutes.

not a big fan of making things out of boxes i put the coating over home made brownie batter. The coating trickled down the sides of my pan and through the batter causing a layer of syrup underne...

I think you should make recipies from scratch, not from the box, because almost everyone can make brownies from the box.
