Original recipe yields 4 - 5 dozen
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Beat eggs well. Dissolve baking soda with a little milk. Mix together the rest of the ingredients to make a soft dough.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes. DO NOT OVER BAKE. Frost with your favorite icing.

When the cookies are still warm, dip them into this icing, and let dry on a cookie rack. These cookies soften with time. I like to make them at least 3 weeks before Xmas, and keep them in a tin with an apple wedge. Thse are our family XMAS favorites!"
