Dragon's Breath Grilled Salmon

"I came up with this recipe for my Husband's boss who can not get enough heat or garlic in his food. He still requests this dish often, according to this wife. Warning: I would not recommend this recipe for a first date or a romantic evening. You will love it if you love garlic and very spicy food. It's also very good on French bread for a spicy garlic bread alternative."

  1. In the container of a food processor, combine the jalapeno peppers, horseradish, garlic and mayonnaise. Set aside 3/4 of the mixture in the refrigerator. Brush or spread the remaining 1/4 onto the salmon fillets. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate.
  2. Preheat a grill for medium-high heat. When hot, lightly oil the grate.
  3. Grill the salmon fillets until they are able to be flaked with a fork, about 7 minutes per side. Baste occasionally with the remaining marinade.

Yum yum yum! My husband and I made this three days ago and adored it. So much so that I am making it again tonight! I cut the jalapenos in half when I made it, but I am going full strength thi...

This is by far the best grilled salmon recipe I've tried from this site. Loved the sauce! Thanks!

I would give this 10 stars if I could! It blew us away. My mother-in-law doesn't like spicy, and doesn't like salmon, and even she loved it! I didn't have time to roast the garlic, so I used ...

tasted like kicked up tarter sauce.

We replaced two of the jalapenos with Fresno Red peppers, almost doubled the roasted garlic and added a healthy dose of pepper and salt. We used Coho salmon. I didn't flip it on the grill, w...

I made this thought it was okay...I think the horseradish is what turned me off a bit, next time i will make it with less horseradish.

This was pretty darn good & easy.

great...not sure i kept the exact recipe ratios, but added a little lime and cilantro as well- the lime helps keep the spiciness down a little. I pan roasted the garlic and jalepenos- very uniq...

Excellent flavor, we absolutely loved it. I did reduce the amount of garlic by a bit, and it was perfect-- not too spicy, and you can still taste the salmon flavor. Thanks for the recipe, it'll ...
