Original recipe yields 5 - 6 dozen
Directions
- Preheat a griddle to moderate heat 325 - 350 degrees F (165 - 175 degrees C). Grease lightly.
- Beat sugar and butter or margarine together, adding salt and baking powder. Beat in eggs. Add 2 cups of flour and raisins and mix. Then add the other two cups of flour. If too dry add a little milk if too wet add a little flour.
- Roll out about 1/4 inch thick and cut out cookies.
- Place on a greased griddle and brown on both sides.
