Original recipe yields 3 cups

Directions

  1. Remove any skin and bones from the mackerel, and place into the bowl of a food processor. Pulse until no large pieces remain. Add the cream cheese, butter, and lemon juice; process until smooth. Place into a small serving bowl, and refrigerate until firmed, about 2 hours.

Danke! Thank you for sharing this recipe! My guests and I loved it. Even kids who are picky eaters and don't like fish enjoyed it. I used about half the butter because I was running low and it was still prefect. Great on water biscuits, Truiscuts and melba toast.
