Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).
  2. Combine the butter, sugar, flour and maple syrup, blend until smooth.
  3. On a lightly floured surface roll dough out 1/2 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
  4. Bake at 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) for 20 minutes, watch carefully so as not to overcook. Let cookies cool before eating.

I make these quite often (they retain shapes nicly). They're also handy (sturdy) when you have to send goodies in the mail. Great flavor and nice texture (I tend to underbake these slightly).
