Original recipe yields 3 dozen



  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F ( 200 degrees C ). Grease a 15x10x1 inch jellyroll pan.
  2. In a heavy saucepan combine the sugar and eggs. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat, stir in the flour, salt, vanilla, and pecans.
  3. Spoon mixture into the prepared baking pan and bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool and cut into squares.

I needed a quick recipe and pulled this one up from my recipe files. To my surprise, it was fantastic. I urge everyone to try it.



I'm a sugar and sweets lover, and it's the kind of snacks I like. Easy to fix, not that much dishwashing (just one pan), and keeps well. Try it, I'm almost sure you'll like it.



Very easy to make. They taste good. Excellent recipe to make when you need something quick.
