Based on a 2,000 calorie diet

Directions

  1. Mix together the sugar, flour and spices. Stir in butter. Beat in eggs and add milk and vanilla. Mix well.
  2. Pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake 10 to 15 minutes at 400 degrees F (205 degrees C), then reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and bake 30 minutes more or until pie sets.

This pie was very good instead of using a tablespoon of vanilla extract I used 1 teaspoon and I cooked it a little longer than 30 minutes since I was baking it in a deep dish pie plate

Made for a dinner party and it went over great! Used 2 cups or milk and 1/2 cup of cream as suggested by someone else and sprinkle coconut on top after baking as a garnish. Very creamy! Thanks for sharing!
