Original recipe yields 1 - 9 inch pie
- Scatter nuts over bottom of unbaked pie shell.
- In a large bowl, stir together sugar, flour, and salt. Stir in milk until smooth. Add eggs, corn syrup, butter or margarine and vanilla. Beat until thoroughly blended. Pour filling carefully over nuts; make sure the nuts are still spread out evenly over the crust bottom.
- Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour. Cool.

I however used Light Corn Syrup as I did not have the recipe with me at the grocery store, and perhaps that gave it a not so sweet taste, which we thought was perfect.
