Directions

  1. In a heavy pot over medium heat cook crumbled sausage and onions and drain well.
  2. Stir in tomatoes, broth, water, and salami, heat to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer 15 minutes.
  3. Add rotini, and simmer 15 minutes more or until pasta is done.

The one thing I plan on trying the next time I make this is to replace the rotini noodles with cheese filled tortilini noodles. I think this would be a great variation on an already great soup."
