"My family loves roast beef so I kept messing around with my own recipe until I came up with this one. My family says 'no more' trying to make the perfect roast. This apparently is. Serve with mashed potatoes and use the juices for gravy."

  1. Place the pot roast in a slow cooker. Add the onion, celery, red and green bell peppers, au jus mix, and enough water to cover the meat. Cover and cook on Low for 8 hours, or until tender.

This was possibly the worst pot roast I've ever eaten. In Italy we call this "bollito", which means "boiled" and we make it with a cheaper cut of meat, potatoes, carrots, and then use the broth ...

I think they said no more because this was horrible, too salty and way to much peppers. Will try other recipes.

I've had better. Needs more spice.
