Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Stir together the cream of potato soup, cream of mushroom soup and onion in a bowl. Heat in the microwave until hot, about 3 minutes. Make a layer of potato slices in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish. Cover with a layer of the soup mixture and then sprinkle with some of the cheese. Repeat layers until ingredients are used up.
  3. Bake for 1 hour in the preheated oven, or until potatoes are fork tender and cheese is browned on top.

It's really tiresome to read "reviews" by people who haven't tried a dish because they think it has too many calories, fat or whatever. The food police need to learn that if they don't like the nutritional values, they are perfectly free to NOT make a recipe, but they have no business giving a recipe they have not even tried a poor rating.

I was lookng for a simple scalloped potato recipe for a busy sunday!!! WOW what a treat!!!remember to keep the potatoes thin and it works great!!!!!

I halved this recipe and still had a half full 9x13 dish (with about 4-5 servings worth). I only used 1 can of cream of mushroom soup since I halved it, otherwise followed instructions and ingredients. We all really enjoyed these!! I think next time I would add a little salt and some pepper to the layers of potatoes for a little more flavor, but the cheese and soup amount was great and I really liked the creaminess from them!
