Original recipe yields 4 servings



  1. Pour sweet and sour sauce into a large bowl. Sprinkle ground ginger into the bowl and mix it thoroughly with the sauce.
  2. Place romaine lettuce and bean sprouts into the bowl of sauce and toss it a few times.
  3. Add the shredded chicken to the bowl and toss it thoroughly with the lettuce and bean sprouts.
  4. Transfer the salad into a large serving bowl or 4 separate serving bowls. Top with cornflakes, almonds and a pinch of black ground pepper. Sprinkle with sesame seeds, if desired.

And again I'm rating another chicken salad recipe. What can I've found my weak spot. Watch out on the sweet and sour sauce..some brands are pretty sweet. Cut back if you feel necessary. I love serving mine over shredded cabbage and carrots. (pre-mixed of course). I could eat this stuff every day. Thanks JLWS.
