Original recipe yields 6 to 8 servings



  1. Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside to cool. In a large bowl toss the broccoli florets, bacon, green onions, raisins and peanuts together.
  2. In a small bowl whisk the vinegar, sugar and mayonnaise together. Pour half of the dressing over the broccoli mixture and refrigerate. Let marinate overnight. Just before serving top with remaining dressing.

This was amazing! I took others advice and added craisins and turkey bacon. The calorie & fat count for this recipe was really scary, so I tried to decrease them by using turkey bacon, light mayo, less peanuts, and a little less sugar. We loved it and I'm going to make it often.



This recipe is excellent. I have made it several times. As one other reviewer noted, I used craisins instead of raisins (I hate raisins) the cranberry color with the green broccoli looks great on the table around the holidays. I also used a red onion instead of green onion. Yum.



Excellent for family gatherings. I substituted sunflower seeds for the peanuts. Awesome flavor
