“Someone brought this salad to a pot luck dinner and I had to have the recipe. I have made it many, many times since then and I have been asked for the recipe every time I bring it somewhere. It is also a great way to get kids to eat spinach!” - by TOZENUF

"This recipe was a big winner. Small modifications to the original: Cut the sugar down to ¼ cup. Add a few turns of fresh ground pepper Use balsamic vinegar. Use red onion. Mixing in the dressing and letting it sit I think would make it too ‘limpy’. We put a few red onion slices on top with the cheese and bacon. It was great. The sweetness of the dressing would have been excessively much at ½ cup of sugar. This we will make again and again and again."
