Original recipe yields 12 french toast sticks
Directions
- Whisk the eggs and milk together in a bowl. Spread the crushed corn flakes onto a plate.
- Dip each piece of bread into the egg mixture and then press gently into the cereal, turning to coat completely. Place the breadsticks onto a plate while breading the rest; do not stack.
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat; cook the coated breadsticks in the melted butter until golden, about 4 minutes each side.

"Great recipe that's fun to do with kids! The "crunch" was a nice departure from the ususal french toast. I used a pizza cutter to cut the bread into thirds and added a little sugar to the egg/milk mix..." See moreture along with a bit of vanilla and cinnamon for good measure. Once they were done I topped them off with some confectioners' sugar and real maple syrup. Great way to start your morning....."
