Original recipe yields 8 servings


  1. Bring a large pot of lightly-salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, 8 to 10 minutes; drain well. Place the pasta in a large bowl.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Cook the ham in the skillet for 3 minutes. Add the cream, sugar, tomato paste, soy sauce, and salt; stir. Reduce heat to medium low and cook and stir until the mixture reaches a low boil.
  3. Pour the sauce over the drained pasta. Sprinkle the Swiss cheese over the top of the pasta; stir until the pasta is evenly coated.

I made this recipie exactly as the poster instructed. (BTW, I have had professional culinary training both on the job and in schooling.) This had to be the second to worst dish I have ever made. (which is rare.) I made this one evening for dinner. My husband and I choked it down(Out of starvation!), then tossed the leftoversout! I would not consider this to be a recipe that you would even want to feed to your dog, cat, or even an enemy!



I made this for my kids and we loved it. The only thing I will do different next time is put a little less sugar. I may even substitute hamburger meat for the ham next time just to mix it up. Overall, it was a hit at my house



We really enjoyed this recipe. I added a bit of paprika to it.
