  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, stir together the baked beans, onion, brown sugar, syrup, ketchup and mustard. Pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish, and lay strips of bacon across the top.
  3. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes in the preheated oven, until the bacon is browned and the beans have thickened.

Very simple and easy to prepare! I used Bush's Baked Beans as my base and swapped out the pancake syrup for some molasses. This is a great "semi-homemade" recipe and a great way to perk up a reg...

Aside from the brand of baked beans I used being much too liquidy, these were pretty good! Nice flavor. I've made similar recipes and enjoyed them, but this is the first I've seen using pancake...
