Original recipe yields 3 dozen

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
  2. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar until smooth. Stir in the egg and vanilla. Combine the flour, rolled oats, baking soda and salt, stir into the creamed mixture. Then stir in the chocolate chips. Fold the cocoa powder in slightly, to create a marbled effect.
  3. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls onto the prepared cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Allow cookies to cool for 2 minutes on the baking sheet before removing to cool on wire racks. Store in an airtight container.

These were awesome! I had to make another batch after the first one...I followed the recipe and added the 1/2 c. peanut butter, 1/4 granulated sugar and 1/2 coconut. Delish!!!

Very tasty. I followed the recipe exactly, but couldn't achieve the swirled effect- however the flavor is very good! I'll make these again and maybe up the amount of cocoa powder to try to swirl it better!
