My friend wanted a less sweet cookie, and this is what I came up with for her. Sweet, but not too sweet.

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Mix in the eggs. Stir together the flour and baking powder. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture and mix until blended. Stir in milk and vanilla. Cover and chill dough for 1 hour.
  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  3. Roll dough into 1 inch balls, place 1 to 2 inches apart on an unprepared cookie sheet. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Remove to cool on wire racks.

These were great. I used pastry whole wheat flour, and to cut calories I used half the sugar, and half the butter. They worked ou great and they were very easy.

These were good - but nothing spectacular - they were better right out of the oven, after that they are dry tasting.

Yummy! I substituted the sugar for splenda and used margarine instead of butter since it was all I had. I also added a tablespoon of cinnamon to the recipe. These turned out not too sweet and very moist.
