  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large skillet, saute onion in butter over a medium-low heat until the onion is tender. Add white wine and simmer for 2 minutes.
  3. Mix sour cream, mayonnaise, cream cheese, and dried beef into the skillet. Stir continuously until all of the ingredients are melted together. Pour the mixture into an 8 inch baking dish and top with the pecans.
  4. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.

This needed more of something, so I added 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, then put into a baking dish and topped with 1 cup of sharp cheddar cheese then the pecans.

I've made this several times for guests and it's a big hit. I double the beef to give it more density and serve with slices of baguette.


This is very, very good BUT in my opinion it definitely needs more dried beef. I used 6 oz. of dried beef, added a teaspoon of toasted dried onions and a 1/4 teaspoon of worcestershire sauce. ...

This is absolutely delish! I made it for Super Bowl and they licked the dish. This is going to be in the front of my recipe box for a quick and easy hit.

needs both garlic salt and worchester sauce. But is great with hawaiian bread.cut out center of bread and toast lightly wonderful.
