Original recipe yields 15 cakes

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. In the container of a food processor or blender, combine the walnuts, garlic, onions, celery and parsley. Pulse until finely chopped. Add the bread crumbs, seafood seasoning, eggs and oil; process until smooth. Roll the mixture into 2 inch balls and place on a baking sheet. Flatten them slightly to keep them from rolling off.
  3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a deep brown color.

I'm not sure where this went wrong but it was no where near the consistency to be rolled into balls. I doubled the bread crumbs and added some salt & pepper and still had to used a cookie dough scoop as it was pretty wet. I had to cook them for 20- 25 minutes. That being said, this is a great concept and I'll be trying it again. They turned out well enough that I'm still serving them to company with a crab cake dipping sauce.
