A real hot and tangy pork chop that's not for the faint of heart. Be careful with this dish if you're not a big fan of spicy!

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the orange juice, rum and habanero chile pepper and puree until smooth; set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium high heat, saute the pork chops in the oil for 5 minutes per side, or until well browned.
  3. Pour in the orange juice mixture, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Flip chops over and simmer for 30 more minutes.

Very good! And if some aren't so hot on the (((hot))) stuff, just reserve the habanero for those who like the spicier chops. The rest of the ingredients work well for those who don't like it kicked up that much :)! I found that if you want a super duper easy way to get these extra tender & juicy, is to use a cooking bag! Makes clean up a breeze too!

Don't let one bad review scare you. We did alter a little, but just because we didn't have all the ingredients. Used some superhot sauce (Blair's Death Sauce) in place of pepper and some tequila and vodka in place of rum (and not quite as much). We enjoyed it and I think it would be good in it's original form as well!

super good and nice and spicy is not for the faint of heart but is one of the best I have ever had
