  1. In a blender or food processor, combine the orange juice, rum and habanero chile pepper and puree until smooth; set aside.
  2. In a large skillet over medium high heat, saute the pork chops in the oil for 5 minutes per side, or until well browned.
  3. Pour in the orange juice mixture, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Flip chops over and simmer for 30 more minutes.

Very good! And if some aren't so hot on the (((hot))) stuff, just reserve the habanero for those who like the spicier chops. The rest of the ingredients work well for those who don't like it ...

Aweful. Kept reviewing the recipe to see if I screwed up and I didn't. We love hot food, that is not the problem. A cup and 1/2 rum is a lot. Makes it an expensive dish.

I have been looking for this receipe since I left Hawaii in 1985. I had it in a little Spanish Diner in Oahu. You have made me verrry happy.
