Original recipe yields 4 servings

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the beef, rice, brown sugar, onion and 1 tablespoon ketchup. Mix well and place in a 5x9 inch loaf pan.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes. Spread remaining 1/2 cup ketchup over the top of the loaf. Bake for 15 more minutes.

"This was very good. I didn't have a loaf pan so I combined the ingredients and shaped this into a loaf and baked it in a pyrex dish. It will be the first dish I think of when I have left over white rice on hand as it is perfect for using leftover rice with.
