Directions

  1. Mix flour, salt, pepper, red chili powder, garlic powder, eggs, and beer together in a bowl.
  2. In a deep fryer, or large pot heat oil to 365 degrees F (180 degrees C).
  3. Dip the sliced jalapenos in the batter. Place battered jalapenos in deep fryer. The jalapenos are fully cooked when they float to the surface of the oil. They should be golden brown and crispy. Enjoy!

Addictively delicious describes these perfectly!! I did change one thing in the recipe, I used 1/2 cup yellow corn meal & 1/2 cup flour in place of 1 cup flour. They don't last long, so be sure to cook plenty!! We used ranch dressing for dipping.

These were great after a few adjustments. Found the oil temp too high and they were being over cooked. Also the batter was too thin ---would cut down on the beer to 1/2 cup next time. Excellent way for using the over abundance of Jalapenos we grow in the garden

I love these but I use Pickled peppers already sliced. If serving a large crowd, you can buy them in a large can. Just make sure to drain them well.
