  1. Stir together the apple, pecans, salad dressing, and sour cream; set aside. Place a slice of Colby cheese onto 4 of the bread slices, the add the ham, followed by the remaining slice of cheese and bread. Spread the margarine on the outside of the sandwiches.
  2. Place the sandwiches into a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat until the bread is golden brown on both sides and the cheese has melted, about 3 minutes per side. Spread the apple mixture into the middle of each sandwich before serving.

I was having a bad day. A real bad day. This sandwich saved my day. Very simple and very good. I don't like miracle whip, so I used mayo. I kept everything else the same. This is a new favorite....

I thought this was an interesting concept for a sandwich, but I don't eat pork so I substituted chicken. I also added white grapes to the mix. Superb!

This is tasty, but why close the sandwich while grilling, then open to put in the apple-nut mixture? It's easier to leave it open face, then add the apple-nut mix and close the sandwich. much ne...
