  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8x4 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a separate bowl mash bananas to equal 1 cup and add oil, eggs, buttermilk and vanilla extract. Beat together and pour this mixture into the dry ingredients. Add nuts and stir just until combined. Pour batter into 8x4 inch loaf pan.
  3. Bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes in the preheated oven, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.

this was my 1st time making banana bread, and this recipe was perfect... the only thing i changed, was that i used 2tbsps of buttermilk and i split the mixture into two loaf pans...

So moist and delicious- this is going to be my standard banana loaf recipe from now on!

This was plain and was done 25 minutes before the time given. I almost burned it. I'm going to look for a new recipe with more flavor.

Just wonderful! Although, mine didn't have nuts because I didn't have any on hand, it still turned out great. This will be the recipe I use from now on for banana bread.

This turned out a lot darker than I've ever seen banana bread turn out -- but it was moist and tasty regardless. I'm just learning to cook/bake on my own and this was easy and fun to try!

Great recipe....everyone enjoyed it. Easy to make, ingredients usually are one hand.
