  1. Stir the potatoes, soup, sour cream, black pepper and onion in a medium bowl. Spoon into a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
  2. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes or until the potato mixture is hot.


  • *Tip for 3 cups of mashed potatoes: Place 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces, into a 3-quart saucepan. Add water to cover and heat over medium-high heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the potatoes are tender. Drain. Mash the potatoes with 3/4 cup milk and 2 tablespoons butter. Season as desired.

Very yummy side dish! My boyfriend loved it and requested it again. I will agree it's a little runny...I will try and balance it out with more potatoes next time. I also used chives flavored ...

These were kinda runny so I'd cut down on the milk. Hubby thought they were great.

Flavor was delish! It was definitely a bit soupy/ next time I'll probably add more mashed potatoes to balance the can of soup.

It was okay. I am not the best cook, and was one of my first times cooking for people. It turned out way different from what the picture looked. And didn't taste or look like "potato bake" more ...
