Original recipe yields 6 servings

Directions

  1. Season beef with black pepper and coat with flour. Heat oil in saucepot. Add beef and cook until browned, stirring often. Add mushrooms, garlic, herbs and bay leaf and cook until mushrooms are tender and liquid evaporates. Add broth.
  2. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 45 minutes.
  3. Add carrots and potatoes. Heat to a boil. Cover and cook over low heat 30 minutes or until done. Remove bay leaf.

Yummy recipe :] I used yellow potatoes, and I added onion to my stew for extra flavor. It turned out very well. My boyfriend liked it so much he had two bowls for dinner, and one the next day for breakfast!

It tasted very bland. I think it needs tomato sauce or ketchup to liven the dish up. And, there was way too much potatoes. Didn't like it at all!

Absolutely delicious. I added cilantro to mine and took the potato peel completely off.
