Original recipe yields 12 biscuits

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C). Lightly grease two baking sheets.
  2. In a large bowl, stir together baking mix, baking powder and salt. Mix in milk and vinegar until a loose dough forms. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead briefly; about 10 times. Break dough apart into 12 equal pieces and place on prepared baking sheets.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until light brown.

This recipe produced very tall flakey, moist buiscuits, but they tasted a lot like baking powder, so next time I think I'll reduce that ingredient since it's already in the buscuit mix. They look beautiful though.

wow these are great! 2/3 cups milk i think was a bit too much. i had to add a little more biscuit mix. i also used a heaping tsp of baking powder. they came out so big and soft! i don't usually use a recipe that calls for biscuit mix, but i'm glad i did! i'll have to make and keep the biscuit mix recipe from this site.

These were really good, and so easy! I manage to screw up even the most simple and highly-rated biscuit recipe so I'm happy to have found a foolproof one! The only thing is (and this is most likely somehow my fault) they are a little bit dense, not as light and fluffy as I had hoped. But I will be making these again and again!
