"Toasted whole wheat or multi-grain bread really makes the difference with this bizarre yet delicious savory/sweet combo. Try apple- or maple-smoked bacon for the best flavor."

  1. Place the bacon in a skillet, and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned and crisp, about 10 minutes. Drain the bacon slices on a paper towel-lined plate.
  2. Toast the slices of whole wheat bread in a toaster, and spread a toasted slice with peanut butter and honey. Place the bacon on the honey, top with the remaining toasted bread slice, and serve.

I really enjoyed the flavor combination of this! The only change I made was to use white bread. I would make this again if I wanted something different. This was tasty! Thanks for sharing. :)

I think I'd heard of a sandwich combo like this before, and I like all the ingredients, so I gave it a try. I made it exactly as written. I'd never bought applewood smoked bacon, but managed to ...

I added purple onion!

Perfect! I love the salty/sweet combo. Yummy!

A total comfort food for me. If I have them on hand I'll also add a sliced banana. Yummy!
