  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain bacon, reserving 1 tablespoon bacon grease. Crumble bacon and set aside.
  2. Heat bacon grease and vegetable oil over medium heat. Stir in flour and cook until flour is light brown. Slowly whisk in milk and 1 cup reserved oyster liquid. Stir until a thick gravy has formed.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning and oysters. Pour mixture into a 9 inch pie shell and cover with top crust.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes, until crust is golden.

the flavor was very good but we had a serious consistency problem. tried to follow recipe exactly but it was way too soupy. would try again if someone had suggestions on how to get it thicker. very easy and fast, ours was just too runny to eat.

This was delicious. Be sure to make a proper roux with the bacon grease and flour to adequately thicken the pie filling. I love bacon, so I used twice as much bacon and then omitted the vegetable oil because I had enough grease to work with. Next time I make this, I'll add some crumbled andouille and double the amount of cajun seasoning.

We thought this was yummy enough to make for company. It has alot of flavor and is very easy to make.
