  1. Cook yams in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 20 to 30 minutes. Dice the yams and place into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  3. Stir pineapple, currants and cinnamon into the casserole dish. Sprinkle marshmallows over the casserole.
  4. Bake in a preheated 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) oven for 35 minutes.

I made this recipe for Thanksgiving and was astonished watching the yams disappear from the table. These were really a hit.

I make almost exactly the same thing every year for Thanksgiving. the only thing i do different is add some maple syrup to the yams (about 1/2 to a 1/4 cup depending on how big your sweet tooth ...

I think this recipe was good, I just added a little oj(not to much) to it, and it came out pretty good. Sirlinda Phila,PA
