Original recipe yields 1 9 inch round



  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine evaporated milk, chocolate chips, marshmallows and salt; stir until chocolate and marshmallows melt and mixture smoothes and thickens. Remove from heat and let cool.
  2. Line a 9 inch pie plate with vanilla wafers. Spoon half of ice cream over wafers and spread evenly, then top with half of chocolate/marshmallow mixture. Repeat layers and top with pecans; freeze 3 to 5 hours, until firm.

This is pretty good. The chocolate sauce is really yummy! It does not fit in a pie pan, however. I put it in a bundt pan instead.



IMO too much chocolate sauce. I made it all but only used half or it would have overpowered the ice cream. Didn't taste bad - how can you go wrong with ice cream and chocolate - but just wasn't great. Probably won't make again. Sorry!
