  1. In large saucepan over medium heat, cook turkey, onion, garlic, carrot, basil and jalapeno until turkey is brown. Pour in milk, reduce heat to low, and simmer until reduced by one-third. Stir in wine and reduce again. Pour in tomatoes and tomato paste and simmer 3 hours more.
  2. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain. Toss with tomato sauce and top with Parmesan. Serve.

This is my first time making sauce with ground turkey. At first I was skeptical and pensive. I could not imagine that it would come close to the sauce I usually make (ground beef and pork.) Ho...

An OK start...but it adds a lot of flavor to use turkey sausage (remove the casings first) instead of regular ground turkey. I also prefer to use red pepper flakes instead of jalapeno peppers.

Thought we would like this more from the reviews. Thinking next time to use a mixture of ground veal, pork and beef...seemed the meat wasn't flavorful enough.
