Original recipe yields 1 1/3 cups

Directions

  1. Place sugar, water and pandan leaves in a deep saucepan. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Remove pandan leaves and strain the syrup. Allow to cool for use as a basic syrup. Store the syrup in a bottle in the refrigerator.

"As you know there is 2 kind of pandan leaves , the one only has fragrance called just "pandan leaves" and the other one is called "SUJI Pandan leaves" this one only used for natural food coloring. W..." See morehat I made is mix this 2 kind of pandan leaves makes the syrup more attractive. Crush the pandan leaves and mince 2 suji pandan and cook with water and sugar for 15 minutes, you wont believe the result."
