  1. In a large bowl, combine pudding mix and pineapple; mix well. Add marshmallows and 3/4 of the container of dessert topping (add more to get a creamier consistency). Toss in the coconut; mix well. Transfer to a serving dish and top with halved cherries and any extra coconut. Chill for at least an hour before serving. Will be good the next day.

Outstanding as always, however, I left out the nuts for my family's taste, and I used a whole 8 ounce container of cool whip for extra creaminess and a 20 ounce can of pineapple. It was great!

I add 1/2 c. to 1 cup chopped walnuts to this dish. This is wonderful for potluck occasions. It's important to chill 1 hour for the marshmellows to become soft.
