Original recipe yields 1 - 9x5 inch loaf
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, banana, salt, pepper, paprika and dry mustard until well mixed. Shape into a loaf and place in prepared pan.
- Bake in preheated oven 1 hour, or until no longer pink in the center.

See morend sofrito (a mixture of onion, garlic sweet peppers, olive oil and tomatoes plus culantro) and either roll it up like pinwheels or layer it like a lasagna. The sweet and the savory are really very good together. I'll bet this rather tastes like that and I am going to try it!"
