  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees F (95 degrees C).
  2. In a medium saucepan bring water and salt to a boil over medium heat. Add butter and stir in potato flakes, onion and cream cheese. Stir in milk until potatoes are soft and fluffy. Spoon into a 9x12 inch casserole dish and top with fried onions.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes.

I thought these were delicious for boxed potatos- The rest of my guys..not so much; Hence mid grade review. If your family like plain jane potatos- this won't be for them.

Pretty basic do need to add for flavor. I used fresh mozzarella and the half and half instead of the milk. Good and easy...thanks for the post.
