  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Melt chocolate in double boiler, in a saucepan over low heat, or in the microwave stirring occasionally until smooth.
  3. In a large bowl, combine coconut, sugar, flour, eggs, almonds and vanilla. Stir well. Fold in melted chocolate. Drop by rounded spoonfuls onto baking sheets.
  4. Bake in preheated oven 25 minutes, until set.

Hmm maybe it's just my oven, but I think the temperature and cooking time are off on this recipe. I had my oven at 350 and after 20 minutes the bottoms of these cookies were burnt. So I lowere...

Great taste and easy to make. I do agree with the temp or cooking time though, mine were turning brown already when I pulled them out with 7 minutes left. Maybe change the cook time to 15 min ...
