Based on a 2,000 calorie diet


  1. Place chicken in self-sealing plastic bag along with half of teriyaki sauce. Seal; marinate at least 1-2 hours, turning once or twice. Remove chicken from bag. Discard marinade.
  2. Grill chicken breasts over medium heat about 6-8 minutes on each side or until done. Baste with remaining teriyaki sauce while cooking, 2-3 times.
  3. Add sandwich rolls and pineapple slices to grill the last few minutes while cooking chicken, turning once to lightly brown both sides. Top each bread slice with lettuce, tomato, chicken breast, and finally with pineapple (optional).
  4. Serve immediately.

Very easy and very good! This definitely is a nice change of pace from plain 'ol grilled chicken and has a nice Asian flair! I threw the chicken and teryaki sauce into a ziploc bag and added just a little fresh garlic and sesame oil. I let that marinate for about 4 hours. I used fresh pineapple vs. canned and the grilled pineapple complimented the teryaki flavor very nicely.


Made these as slider sized because we only had the regular sized Hawaiin rolls. Really good & easy.My 10 yr old was in heaven combining teriyaki chicken & hawaiin rolls!


It was missing the mayo and some season fries as a meal:) It WAS over all good!! My kids loved it with the fries too.
