  1. Stir the picante sauce and barbecue sauce in a small bowl. Reserve all but 1/2 cup picante sauce mixture to serve with the chicken.
  2. Lightly oil the grill rack and heat the grill to medium. Grill the chicken for 15 minutes or until cooked through, turning and brushing often with the remaining picante sauce mixture. Discard the remaining picante sauce mixture.
  3. Serve the chicken with the reserved picante sauce mixture.


  • Tip: This simple basting sauce also makes a zesty dipping sauce for chicken wings or nuggets.

I used purdue chicken which was already thin cut and had no fat on it. and I cooked it on a skillet and It came out good. I am a pickey eater and this is one reciepe I would eat.

I found a similar recipe on a picante sauce web site, I added a 1/2 cup of brown sugar and threw in some onions! Very good!

It was a new taste and the little guys really liked it. I did it partly on the grill then cut them up and finished them in the oven with the sauce drizzled over and covered. I will make it agai...

It is quick and easy to make but it is nothing special for taste.

My kids loved it!!!! I didn't grill I placed it in the oven and I did use some extra seasonings fit taste. Very good
