The sweetness of the apples and honey mixed with the bite of the gruyere was delicious. Using good quality honey really makes a difference. It is the star of the sandwich!

Brilliant idea! The honey really makes it! And I assume this would be just as delicious with pears, too!

My husband and I liked but the kids didn't. Using a Granny smith made a big difference. I might try a different cheese next time because the gruyere is pretty expensive.
