Directions

  1. In large microwavable bowl, microwave butter on High about 40 seconds or until melted. Stir in rosemary, lemon zest, garlic powder and salt. Add cereals, almonds and crackers; mix well.
  2. Microwave on High 5 to 6 minutes, stirring every 2 minutes. Spread on cookie sheet to cool. Store in airtight container.
  3. All done! Now take a photo, rate it, and share your accomplishments!

This is a good recipe but extremely MILD without much more added. I doubled, even tripled some of the flavors and it still was very bland. If you add a lot more rosemary, garlic, lemon and butter, it has a great flavor. But as is, it tastes like slightly seasoned dry chex.

I only used corn and rice Chex. I subbed white cheddar crackers for of the Parmesan kind. This baked for 45 minutes at 250.

I used olive oil and because I didn't have fresh rosemary, I subbed dried and used about a teaspoon. I used just a pinch of sea salt. I did not have parmesan flavored crackers but I did have oyster crackers so I used those and added about a quarter of Kraft parmesan cheese (that comes in the green canister). We really liked this, me especially. Next time I might double the garlic powder and maybe add some cayenne pepper or lemon pepper but that's a personal taste kind of thing.
