PAMELA D. aPROpos of nothing

Not bad but the flavors were not prominent, tasted like a slight variation of normal mix and I even tripled the liquid smoke. Blue cheese flavor was lost so no need for that. Subbed Sun Chips for croutons and added a few odds and ends.

I did not have store bought croutons but I made my own from four pieces of day old Dave's Killer Bread, a little butter, garlic/onion powder and fresh ground pepper. I did not have rye chips, I just threw in a cup of "twist" pretzels. My boys do not like blue cheese so I used two tablespoons of Annie's Cowgirl Dressing. I also used dry roasted almonds because that was what I had on hand and REGULAR garlic powder (I didn't want to add extra salt as it had enough on it's own). I thought this was very tasty, though I might use a half recipe of Kelly/SD's dry buttermilk ranch dressing mix, keep the onion/garlic powder and maybe sprinkle on a little nutritional yeast after it comes out of the oven. This is very good and I like the different flavor that the Liquid Smoke adds. NOTE: I highly suggest you make what you can from scratch which makes your regular snack mix outstanding.

Yum! Hubby was snagging it before it cooled to "test it out" for me and I ended up having to hide it from him so we would have some for the party!
