Directions

  1. In a saucepan, combine the milk, butter and brown sugar. Bring to a boil, stirring often. Continue to boil for 20 minutes, then remove from heat. With an electric mixer, beat the icing until it has thickened to spreading consistency. Use immediately.

Had to soak the saucepan and mixing bowl for hours to remove the hardened sugar. Maybe you need to boil it for less time, just until it reaches a certain stage. If it turned out well for you, please give details!"
